We enjoyed our stay very much. There were good restaurants within walking distance of the flat. The booking and collection of the keys went off very smoothly. The flat was well prepared and clean.

Refrigerator is loose and keeps falling forward, sink is too small to wash a large plate and it was quite surprising that there is no WiFi or a hair dryer in the unit. In today's days, people expect this as a matter of course. Furthermore, we had a very nice stay. Thank you.

We, as a couple, have used places for quick getaways before. Therefore, we were used to getting instructions in advance where a key should be collected, or retrieved from a mailbox, possibly with a code. We were somewhat caught off guard with our reception, which did not go smoothly. I also had to contact the office myself to find out where the key had to be left afterwards. This information is usually given in advance, so that one can check in and check out seamlessly. Also, no Wi-fi code was given to us, and we had to use our own data.
It was everything and more we expected. Very pretty.
We had a great time at Ships Bell. It was just the break we needed. Staff were friendly and made the place beautifully clean and tidy.
Only issue was 1 toilet roll for 2 people for 3 nights - found out the uncomfortable way!

It was lovely and peaceful. Maybe just far from everything.
Load shedding was a bit of an issue.
I just think that the owner can invest in a more comfortable sofa to relax in front of the TV. That day bed is not very comfortable.

Place was lovely and spacious. But no access to Wi-Fi. There was a leak in the tap by the kitchen sink. The shower drain was blocked, so we basically bathed in the shower. Went and bought food to braai, started braaing and 30 seconds later, the gas ran out so the food got tossed. Great restaurants nearby that I can recommend.

Lovely place, magnificent views. I was disappointed that there was no Wi-Fi available and no torches or lamps for load shedding. The skottel braai was brilliant, and the daily cleaning service a very nice surprise. Thank you for a happy stay.
The environment is beautiful. The accommodation was 100% adequate, serviced every day and kept in good condition. I want to live here one day.

We were here for our honeymoon. I would consider it more of a hotel room than self catering. Very small kitchen - not at all suitable for self-catering. No microwave. Instead of a stove there was a plate braai. In the information about the place it said there are barbecue facilities. When I asked the lady who helped us about it she said it was the dish grill, because fires are not allowed at Ships Bell. I don't think any South African classifies it as braai. All the other units did have a gas grill on the porch. Ships Bell 4b does not. Bathroom also very small. Can barely move in there. Other than that, the place was really beautiful and stylish. It was also quiet in the apartments and we could rest well. A stone's throw from many nice restaurants as well as the two-harbour walk. Beautiful view of the harbor.
Unit within walking distance of restaurants. Safe walking route around the harbor to private beach. Shopping center also nearby.
We enjoyed the calmness. It is very quite. Very clean. We enjoyed ourselves. If you like a very quite relaxed environment, this is the right spot to visit.
Just had a problem with the DStv which had no signal for 2 days. The bathroom is also wet and musty even though the window is open.
I read a bad review about Ships Bell 4B on Booking.com that dates back to 2018 and thought that surely the issues would have been addressed by now, but little did I know! The double bed was terrible and definitely due for a replacement. The fitted sheet was too small for the mattress and was torn on the side. The duvet cover had yellow stains on it and the pillows were a disgrace! The cleaning ladies did not wear masks or even sanitized the remotes as we walked in on them. The lobby and entrance was dirty and I'm sure nobody checks the standard of this place. With Covid-19 and certain protocols that need to be in place I'm afraid this is a total let down and I'm very concerned that we could have been exposed to series germs.
Very nice stay, please just looked at fridge, very small and freezer was about half frozen. You couldn't watch specific channels on MNET because the picture was stuttering or skipping, neighbors next door had the same problem. LNB on roof maybe something wrong. But apart from that we had a very nice stay.
The studio was clean but the entrance way was dirty with water leaking over the cobbles. Also the cheap plastic indoor plants made the studio look 'tacky'. Also felt that relative to other prices that we have paid along our route, it was expensive.
The unit is not well maintained. The walls have water damage and peeling off furniture and floors. The shower's water does not drain and pools. We couldn't shower properly. No dish soap available to wash dishes. The bed's mattress is old and mushy.
The accommodation is very neat, clean and safe. Has a beautiful view of the harbor and not even 3 minutes walk from some good restaurants right next to you. If you want to relax and be nice and quiet, Ships Bell 4B is the place to be. Didn't need to drive anywhere once. Definitely the place you want to be if you just want to relax.
